Little Beauty In My Garden
I saw this beautiful, little lavender color flower in my front garden, where the soil is mostly clay. It grew at the same spot that I've planted gladiola two years ago. Only the gladiolus never sprouted, and this year this flower took its place.
I have no idea what it is called, but absolutely delighted to see two little flowers. They could have easily missed if I didn't pay attention. I am, however, attracted to any shade of purple, so these flowers got my full eyes.
Then this giant critter landed right inside of the flower while I took the pictures. It looked like earwig, but it could also be the great black wasp. I just wanted to snap a couple of pictures, and left the bug to do its business.
Anyway, I changed my mind about this bug after I got a few pictures, I shook it off since I didn't want it to eat away my beautiful flowers. I want to enjoy it for a few more days. Yes, I know, I'm bad!!!

Thanks for being here!

Little wasp-looking bugs like that freak me out, but they make such an interesting picture...
Wow, beautiful.
Good Morning Mumsy....I love that you find beauty in the simplest of things in life....you always capture beautiful photos. I do not blame you for shaking off the bug!
Beautiful flower. I cannot tell what kind it is. I like the fact that you captured it with the bug too.
Awww another blue flower, how soft it looks like.
Absolutely fantastic with that little bug. Great macro shot.
Its a lovely little flower and for once I don't know what it is!
Lovely little blue flower, I can understand that you didn't want it to be eaten by the bug. Though, the little black visitor brought a lot of interest in the photo.
Thanks for the beautiful contribution to macro Flowers Saturday!
It appears to be some form of lily. I have a pink one that looks very similar and it blooms after a rain. I hope you find its name. It's too pretty to go nameless!
isn't it a wonderful surprise to find a bit of beauty like your flower...when you least expect it ?
Blessings & Aloha!
(thank you for your kind comment :o)
You're not bad and that is a gorgeous flower!
It was more likely to be pollinating your lovely flowers than eating them! I love that you can see the wasp's shadows on the petals! Beautiful colour!
Such a delicate little flower!
Don't feel bad, I would have shook him off too. :)
Wow, that's a gorgeous looking flower. Hopefully, it will stay around for awhile.
Great macro shot here!I liked number 3 best:-). Have a nice day:-)
The bug has good taste in flowers ;)
No. 2 looks very "dreamy" - very beautiful.
It is a beautiful flower and I love the color. Maybe it is the kind of bug that do not eat flowers.
Beautiful little flower, I too have a thing for anything purple!! Creepy bug, I only like taking photos of bugs then they must go away!!
Very pretty blossom and interesting bug. :)
Wildflowers are always beautiful just like this one! Happy Monday!
Lovely flower dear Mumsy. I don't know the name of it, but it is very pretty!
That's quite a trade-in for your gladiola. Such a nice delicate flower.
I would do the same too, I would not only shake it, I might squash it to prevent it from further eating the flowers.
Beautiful shade of tree and the petals put me in the mind of a lily. Something ate my yellow lilies, maybe something like that bug?? I tried spraying them with mint mouthwash and lemon joy to detract the bugs, but it did not work.
You took exquisite photos!
That is a beautiful flower - the purple is such a rich color!!
